A rumor has been circulating around kpop idols; CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa and Fx’s Sulli were rumored to be dating. It started from netizen’s observation that both were a little too close during Inkigayo, and as expected, the rumor grew big especially because Yonghwa is the “HUSBAND” of SNSD maknae Seohyun.
And the rumor has come to the knowledge of SNSD that one starry night, from the one too concerned idol, 2am’s Jinwoon, which came out of his way from his busy schedule to come to their dorm and spread the news.
Upon hearing the rumor, Seohyun felt her heart became heavy; she heaved a sighed and explained their circumstances to Jinwoon with a controlled expression. She tried her best to not show her disappointment and sadness to him. Jinwoon stood up after their conversation and bid goodbye to the wonderful ladies in front of him, rushing for his next schedule.
Seohyun showed their visitor out with weak knees. Her heart felt like it was ripped into pieces, but she hid it from her unnies. She doesn’t want them to be worried. She volunteered to wash dishes after dinner for her to not think of her heartache.
As she pace around their dorm tidying things, her 8 unnies are gathered around the living room silently watching her with worried eyes.
She went inside their room when she felt her unnies’ stare. She sat on her bed and stared blankly on the wall.
Hyoyeon followed her and asked as soon as she closed the door “You alright Seohyunie?” a concerned motherly tone escaped her lips
She let out a smile that doesn’t reach the eye and nodded softly “Kwenchanayo unnie.” She chuckled softly “It’s not that we’re real. We are only married couple in a show. What we did are just for the show and nothing else” she said, the words came out of her mouth like acid, she swallowed the lump that formed on her throat “We are not real” she whispered more to herself than to Hyoyeon
“Aigoo Seohyunie….” Hyoyeon started but was interrupted when Seohyun stood up and faced her with a forced happy face
“I’m really okay unnie. Don’t worry too much!” she said trying to liven up her mood. She started cleaning their already clean room, reorganized what was already organized
Hyoyeon sighed in defeat; she silently went out of their room.

Hyo went back to the living room, her forehead creased. “Where is Taeyeon and Tiff?”
“They went inside Tiff’s room” Sunny pointed with her lips
“They’re going to call him” Yuri informed

Yonghwa was pacing in front of SNSD dorm, composing himself and trying to figure out how to explain to her and her 8 unnies. He rushed there after Jungshin told him what happened, it seems like Hyoyeon and him are in contact without him knowing. He might have been amused if not because of the news.
His heart is beating fast and his palms sweating. He tried to calm down, he rarely gets nervous and when he does, he hates it. A lot has come to his mind the moment Jungshin went to his room; anger frustration, concern and then wanting to wring Jinwoon’s pretty neck because of jealousy also came to him.
He was mumbling his long explanation, practicing each line when his phone rang. Confused with the unknown number that flashed on his X10 Experia mini, he pressed the answer button reluctantly only to be surprised with Taeyeon’s voice.
“This is Jung Yonghwa’s phone right?!” she said a little too loudly as soon as he answered, they recognize his voice on speakerphone but she have to be sure.
“Yes” his phone inches away from his ear due to her loud voice “Taeyeon-ssi?” he asked making sure he has not mistaken
“Yah! What is this that we heard?” the leader of SNSD gave out an authority he can’t imagine in her voice. He felt intimidated just hearing her from the other line.
He let out a nervous laugh, he stepped away and turned his back from their dorm door “Please let me explain, it’s not what you all think. It’s not true, Sulli and I are not dating, there is no way I would date her.” he said frantically
“But where did this rumor came from?” a calmer Tiffany butt in
“I have no idea where it came from, but wherever it is, I have only eyes for one person.” He said honestly.
“And may we know who your eyes are for?” Taeyeon asked, he can sense a smile plastered on her face judging from her voice
He let out a thankful sigh before he answered “Your dongsaeng, Seohyun, I won’t be here this late at night in front of your dorm if I don’t like her” he said solemnly, he heard a squeal that made him smile and rolled his eyes “Girls” he thought looking down while shaking his head
“How much do you like our Seohyun?” Tiffany asked excitedly and let out a soft squeal

Seohyun gathered all trash bins from each room and segregates it accordingly; she collected all cans and plastic bottles and put it in one garbage bag. She stood up and head outside to throw it for it to be recycled. She opened the door quietly and was shocked to see Yonghwa standing just a few steps away from their door, his back facing her, talking to whomever on the phone seriously; she can hear his one-sided conversation quiet well. And her heart began to beat erratically as she heard every single word that came from his mouth.
He sighed “I really don’t know how to put in words how much I like Seohyun, to be honest up until I met her, I always thought that my career were all that matter. I just never knew before that a person’s smile could make me so happy. And I don’t want to lose Seohyun because of this rumor. After much hesitation, I am here accepting to myself that I really like her. So I don’t really want to think too much this time around and even if everyone were to find out about this. I don’t really want to give her up.”
Taeyeon and Tiffany held their breath as Yonghwa confessed his feelings to Seohyun. The sincerity in his voice washed away their doubts on him. They were so excited that they spoke simultaneously on the phone, their voice louder than usual.
Yonghwa was distracted and was not paying attention to them when he heard a sound similar to a couple of cans that fell on the floor, he looked back and found Seohyun standing stiff, her expression tells him that she heard everything. He ended the call without saying goodbye and awkwardly he stepped closer to her “Did you hear everything I said just now?” he asked softly, after he glanced down and fiddled his ring, after he saw her nod, he asked cautiously “So.. What’s your answer then?” he felt cats and mice are racing on his insides as he waited for his answer, he looked at her expectantly
Seohyun felt her face reddened and her heart flutter. Nervously she tried to form words “I-I don’t k-know, even if you have said that you like me, I just have a hard time believing it.” She voiced out her reluctance
“Why?” Yonghwa asked, Seohyun can see the hurt in his eyes
“We are in this reel relationship and I don’t know what is real anymore.” Seohyun put his hands on her forehead, a little frustrated “And besides, there are a lot of girls there that are better than me, livelier, perkier and younger than me. Compared to them, I can say I’m ordinary” her insecurities about hearing about Sulli earlier went back
Yonghwa steeped a bit more closer, he caressed her lovely face “You are not one bit ordinary” he said his heart on his sleeves “In my heart , you are much better than anyone else.”
Seohyun blinked, gathering her strength and step back as she sighed “Thank you for saying this all to me. I’m sure if you have said this to me earlier, I should have been really touched and I would have accepted you but after I heard the rumor it made me think twice as much. I have thought a lot and with this revalation, I am truly grateful. But let’s just keep going like this and leave our relationship the way it is as of now, okay? I don’t want to rush unprepared into a relationship and then ended up both of us being hurt” she said after much thought, she saw his hurt expression and God knows she wanted to erase it but it is not the right time yet.
He sucked in a deep breath, his eyes clouded with sadness but smiled “Okay, I understand. I think you need time to calm down” he stepped back to give space between them
“So let’s carry on like before and keep on behaving natural around each other, okay?” Seohyun asked to liven up the mood
“Okay, don’t worry. I will wait, I will wait until the day you will accept me.” he declared a tiny smile adorned his face “I will accept anything until then and no matter what you tell me” he sighed before he continued “We will always be good friends” he ended. He swallowed hard and looked up “it’s getting late, I better go back now, and my members might be getting worried. ” he let out a chuckle“ Goodnight, bye” he turned his back on Seohyun and left
“Bye, be careful and see you” Seohyun called out on him, he turned one last time, gave her a smile and wave before he went inside his car

She sighed and felt her fast heartbeat, she opened the door and was shocked to see her unnies, their ear were obviously plastered on the door earlier before she opened it. “Unnie!” she called loudly
Her unnies jumped in surprise as soon as they heard Seohyun’s voice. Each has nonchalant expression, feigning innocence.
“So it’s over?!” Yoona asked awkwardly her hand on her nape
“Did u hear anything?” Sooyoung asked everyone, her eyes wide while sending each other a message
“I did not hear a thing” Jessica shook her head vigorously
“Were u guys eavesdropping?! You guys are weird!” Seohyun’s face turned bright red as she rushed to her bedroom and slammed the door
Her unnies giggled excitedly like a school girl. They went to their living room and slumped on the floor with giddy heart
“But why did she not accept him?” Yuri asked everyone a smile plastered on her face
“It good, she’s a wise girl, Yonghwa should woo her first” Tiffany said please with their youngest. All of them nodded

As soon as Seohyun closed the door she threw herself on her bed, went under her blanket and screamed on her pillow. She rolled on her bed giddily suppressing her giggle as she thought of Yonghwa’s confession. She stopped in a halt and pretended she was asleep when she heard somebody entered the room.
Hyoyeon sat on her bed and looked at Seohyun “Yah, I know you’re pretending to be asleep. You can’t possibly sleep after that mind blowing confession” she said trying hard not to burst out laughing, their maknae is really acting cute. After a minute of without reply she stood “We are just outside waiting to share your happiness with you” she stood by the door and waited for another minute for a reply but it didn’t come “Arasso, you have the right to express your happiness whatever way you want. But I have to tell you this aside from sadness and depression; you know a person can die from contained happiness too right?” she said, opened the door and went out
Under the blanket Seohyun’s eyes grew big from the last statement; she uncovered herself and hurriedly went out of their room. There she stood just beside the closed door, 8 pairs of gorgeous twinkling eyes looked at her and in unison “AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” they screamed their hearts out, waking up the whole neighborhood.
